SOME SMALL SUCCESSES
& An Overview of My Writing Career
I have been writing and experimenting with words for several years now, 3 of which were spent studying at the University of Winchester, which lead to me graduating with a First Class Honours in Creative Writing.
Along the way, I have attended numerous open-mic nights in the Winchester area, notably at The Poetry Platform; I have recorded a poetry reading and brief authorial interview for the podcast, 'Lung Party'; I also self-published my own "mini-collection" of poetry, Plumes, during my second year of uni; I was recently short-listed for publication with Bad Betty Press; I have acted as Editor of Poetry Submissions for the literary magazine Vortex (2018-2019); am currently working with Bandit Fiction as an Editor and Submissions Reader for fiction and poetry alike; have had a sequence of poems published with Splendid Fred Magazine; and had the pleasure of seeing my original short play, 'Blue' performed as part of the Climate 4 Change production at the Theatre Royal Winchester.
These days, I am employed as a very happy copywriter at Novatech, a PC hardware and Gaming System specialist based in Hampshire, where I mostly keep our blog up-to-date with all things tech.
